He was predeceased by: his father Bill Gainer; and his father-in-law Eddie Flowers. He is survived by: his mother Wanda Gainer (J. C.) of Joshua, Texas; his wife Jennifer Gainer of Wooster; his son Kordell of Wooster; his sisters, Shelly Wesley (Mark) of Durant and Penny Combs Gainer of Sherman, Texas.; his mother-in-law Lois Flowers; and his sister-in-law Rebecca Flowers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
