He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy David and Voneva Cansler (Earls); his son Travis Cansler; and his sister Mary Ann Cansler McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Cansler (Burton); his daughters, Kimberly Cansler (Mark Kuntzman) of Olive Branch and Kerrie Strange (P. J.) of Jonesboro; his brothers, James Franklin, Budâ, Jimmy David Cansler Jr. of Revel and Sammy Scott Cansler of Augusta; and his grandchildren, Abby and Sam Strange of Jonesboro. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
