Jean Simpkins Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Simpkins of Wynne, Arkansas, born in McCrory, Arkansas, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Samuel James Sr. and Nina Lanelle James (Pankey); her brother Sammy James; and her niece Angie Burkett. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Simpkins; her children, Ashley Roberson (Jeff) of Wynne, Bryce Busby (Ashley) of Wynne, Lauren Mitchusson (Chad) of Cherry Valley, Catherine Ramos (Carlos) of Jonesboro and Christopher Simpkins of Conway; her siblings, Johnny James of McCrory, Phyllis Vondran (Charles) of McCrory, Rita Morgan (Larry) of McCrory and Jane Harris (Terry) of Colt; and her grandchildren, Gracy Roberson, Sy Roberson, Rylee Jean Roberson, Rayleigh Drew Busby, Wilson Busby, Gavin Mitchusson, Aubree Gail Mitchusson and Emily Hansen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
