He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Derise Beaton; his parents, Earl Beaton and Jessie Wood Beaton; his siblings, Leon, Zane and Mary Ellen; and his great grandchild Brooklyn Jean Kliethermes.

He is survived by: his close friend Dr. Vance Crain; his child Drs; and his grandchildren, Laura Beaton (Justin Denney), Katie Beaton (Gaines Fricke), John Beaton, Justin Rhodes (Adrienne) and Kristin Kliethermes. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
