We announce the death of Michael Edwin Payne of Wynne, Arkansas, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 78. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Payne and Ruth Payne. He is survived by: his children, Stacey Abbott of Wynne and Joseph Payne of Caledonia, Mississippi; his brothers, Larry Payne of Marion and William "Billy" Payne of Blytheville; his grandchildren, Jaxon Payne, Jace Payne, Kayleigh Simpson and Emily Abbott; and his great grandchildren, Barron Simpson and Miles Simpson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kernodle Funeral Home (315 E Union Ave, Wynne, AR 72396).
