He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dale and Alice Marie Cates (Posey); his brother Carlton Cates; and his granddaughter Sierra Hermosillo. He is survived by: his wife Hilde Cates; his daughters, Nichole Hermosillo of Jonesboro, Jessica Hermosillo of Wynne and Nina Hermosillo of Pomona, California; his sister Debbie Dinges of Amarillo, Texas; and his grandchildren, April Hermosillo-Crosthwait, Cody Goodwin, Christopher Goodwin and Melanie Stokes. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
