He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Courtney and Richard Courtney; his wife Gloria Cox; his brothers, David Courtney and Dale Courtney; his son-in-law Johnny Poe; and his grandson Michael Poe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sonya Poe, Cindy Massey (Allen), Susan Hanson (Mike) and Cheryl Wiemeyer (Dutch); his grandchildren, Meredith Poe Reeves, Melanie Massey, Michelle Massey Garner, Courtney Massey Nance, Jennifer Hanson Jackson, Mitch Hanson and Jessie Hanson Watson; and his great grandchildren, Neely Poe, John Henry Poe III, Brayden Harris, Cody Garner, William, Charlotte Nance, Mackenze Jackson, Henry, Georgia, Hayden Hanson, Jack and Max Watson.
Memorials are to be made to the First Baptist Church, Administrative Fund, 507 North Rosser, Forrest City, Arkansas, 72335.
