He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlene Keman and Don Ratliff; his wife Kay Lynn Philipsen; and his son Steven "Rob" Philipsen. He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Kay Philipsen; his grandchildren, Moss "Sydney" Smith (Devon), Morgan Ahrens (Kerion) and Tiffany Roenfeldt (Joe); his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Emmaline, Gwendolyn, Matthew Roenfeldt, Nova, Amelia and Remi Ahrens; his brother Jim Philipsen; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica Eshelman (Ron), Jamie Philipsen, Jimmy Philipsen, Tyler Burk, Joseph and Logan Eshelman. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials to be made to the St. Joseph's Indian School.
