He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin "Murphy" Balas (Balaskovits) and Irma Adeline Spannenberg Balas. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his daughters, Michelle Balas, Melissa Banning (Ethan) and Marcy Lamb (Mike); his grandchildren, Colin, Braeden, Charlie Rasmus, Gabbie, Sophie, Eliana Banning, Christian and Dylan Lamb; and his sisters, Alyce Pittrof (Dick) and Gayle Schey (Randy).
He passed peacefully after suffering from Parkinson's Plus as well as a undetermined degenerative neuromuscular disease.
