He was predeceased by: his father Gordon "Oxie" Nelson; and his close friend Mary "Torchy" Doschadis. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Nelson (Costello); his sister Deb Hendrickson; his niece Brittany McPherson (Charlie); his great-nieces, Addie, Lydia and Evie McPherson; his pets, Benji and Molly; and also Larry. He is also survived by his aunts and many cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1120 17th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
