She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Pierce and Mary Elizabeth Pierce (Grant); and her nephew Doyle T. Morris. She is survived by: her former husband John T. Evans; her close friend Mary Hrenchir; her daughters, Laura Hoskins (Gavin) of Topeka, KS and Julie Smoot (David) of Topeka, KS; her grandchildren, Amber Baxter (Gary) of Mayetta, KS, Abri Lafevre (Will) of Topeka, KS, Gavin Hoskins of Amarillo, TX and Nathan Hoskins (Kristin) of St. Benedict, KS.; her stepchildren, Wade Osterhaus (Dawn) of Mesa, AZ, Carol Osterhaus of Chandler, AZ and Greg Osterhaus of Apache Junction, AZ.; her stepgrandchildren, Avery Osterhaus of Mesa, AZ, Rachelle Osterhaus of Mesa, AZ, Stephan Osterhaus of Mesa, AZ and Anna Osterhaus of Lawrence, KS.; her sister Janet Cunningham (Rick) of Siloam Springs, AR; her daughters, Stephanie and Stacie Williams of Apache Junction, AZ; her uncle John; and her aunt Maria Grant of Junction City, KS.

She worked at Ardan as a Jewelry Manager, and later at The Menninger Foundation as a Mental Health Tech.
