He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubel Abeyta and Ida Abeyta; his sisters, Virginia and Lynda; and his brother-in-law Gary Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Jan (Jan); his daughters, Candice (Quixote Lara), Ann (Shawn Malouff) and Alicia (Tim Lay); his grandchildren, Tyler, Danielle and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Blaine and Brady; and his sisters, Barbara, Nadine (Don Klestinski) and Cindy (Pete Macall). He is also survived by many nephews & nieces.
