He is survived by: his wife Lillian Holen; his children, Teresa Foos (Kendall) of Olathe, KS and Todd Holen (Luciene) of Rapid City; his grandchildren, Sara Foos, Molly Crawford (Ross), Rachel Huisken (Trent) and Jacob Holen; his great grandchildren, Grayson Huisken and Reid Crawford; his siblings, Richard, Gary Holen (Mary) and Shirley See of Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Ann Holen of Jamberoo.
