She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Rhodes and Opal Rhodes (Parry); her husband Jim Sand; her sisters, Jeune (Don Vondrack) and Carol (Bernell Huston); and her granddaughter Amanda.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Pamela Schnoes (Doug), Allison, Amy, Ricky Sand (Melissa), Courtney, Kelly, Justin, Brittany, Samantha, Patrick Sand, Christopher, Kayla, Travis, Abbey, Emily, Corey Sand (Misty), Tyler and Casandra Sand-Corbin (Adam); and her children, Alexis and Aydan. She is also survived by 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, and many step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (102 N Elm St, Marcus, IA 51035). A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Name Catholic Cemetery (201 E Highland Dr, Marcus, IA 51035).
