He was predeceased by: his siblings, Daniel, Inez, Glory, Grace, Grant Jr. and Larry.
He is survived by: his son Nathan Grant Tapija; and his grandchildren, Rose, Christine, Luke and Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shadow Mountain Mortuary (2350 E Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024).
