He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Keranen and Hilda Keranen; his wife Aila; his son Arvo; his grandson Matthew Skoog; his great grandchild Greyson Ojalehto; his parents-in-law, Uuno and Martta Markkanen; his siblings, Roland, Elmer, Edna Mae Felak and Arlene Arvola; and his siblings-in-law, Louis Lazur, Art Haverinen, Steven Felak, Bill Rath, Esa Markkanen, Eero Juvonen, Esko Ukkonen, Raimo Eskelinen and Riitta Juvonen.
He is survived by: his children, Roland, Ann Parks (Aaron), Mia Skoog (Eric), Riitta Huhdanpaa (Hannu), John (Elizabeth), Saara Loukusa (Leo), Risto (Deidre), Hanna Honga (Matt) and Marita Rintamaki (Brett). He is also survived by 58 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 9 siblings, in-laws, and many other relatives and friends.
