He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy V. Chipman, Jr. and Eldean Chipman (Kramer); and his sister Paula Chipman. He is survived by: his children, Cole Chipman of Cave Creek, Arizona, Cade Chipman of Cave Creek, Arizona and Caylyn Chipman of Cave Creek, Arizona; and his siblings, Deborah Bird (Steve) of Wichita, Kansas and Scott Chipman (Deborah) of Oracle, Arizona..
