He was predeceased by : his parents, James Smith and Winnie Smith of Central, Arizona.; and his siblings, Omer, Keith, Eldon, Kent, Max, Arvid, Dale, Fawn and Roger.

He is survived by : his wife Portia Karen O'Quinn; and his children, Robb Smith (Lisa), Heidi Allred (Steve), Heather Howard (Mark), Ladd Smith (Audra) and Nikki McEuen (Kevin). He is also survived by 18 beautiful Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren.

He was President of Thatcher-Central Parent Teachers Association, Alumni President of EAC, President of the EAC Foundation, and Board Member at Thatcher Unified School District.
