He is survived by: his children, Greg Martinez, Justin Peters, Joshua Peters and D. J. Martinez; and his grandchildren, Amanda Martinez, Jax Peters, Bethany Muino, Harlie Muino and Trey Muino.

“I grew up with Guy in Ontarioville, IL in the 1950"s & 60's . We went to school together at the Ontarioville School, Larsen Jr. High & Elgin High school Class of 1965. We played Little League Baseball together & also played on the school grounds. After high school our group of friends went different ways, some got jobs, some joined the military, & some got married. A lot of our friends are gone now & I bet they have a ball game going somewhere.. I will surely miss him. Scott Ranallo”
