He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmit and Rose Marie Schmit; and his brother-in-law Rich Jones. He is survived by: his grandsons, Jacob, Patrick, Isiah and Curtis Schmit (Davina); his great grandchildren, Eren and Mariah; his siblings, Pauline Jones, Wendy Zieger, Nancy Hegedus (Steve) and Barry Schmit (Amy); his cousin Jackie LaFever; and his close friends, Tom and Adele Arnold. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
