He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidor Smielewski and Genevieve Smielewski (Spohn). He is survived by: his wife Fran; his children, Paul (Jennifer), James (Katie), Mary Fritts (Scott), Nancy (Randall Riggsbee) and Marc (Diane); and his stepchildren, Russell and Brad Cummings. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pixley Funeral Home John Desmond Chapel (3530 Auburn Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326).
