He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brooks and Orene Brooks; and his siblings, Henry and Karen. He is survived by: his brothers, Darrean (Shon) and Greg (Crystal). He is also survived by seven nieces; one nephew; two great-nephews; seven great nieces; and one great-great -niece.
