It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Don Sammons of Gilbert, Arizona, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn (McCall); his children, Sharen Sammons and Mike Sammons (Jackie); his granddaughters, Katie Sammons (Julius Yu) and Keara Rupp (Galen); and his great grandchildren, Emmie, Grayson, Jaden and Lucas Rupp.

Don's personal recognitions included being named the Illinois Collegiate Coach of the Year in 1983; and receiving the John Newman Award for contributions to the sport of swimming in Illinois.
