She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucinda Greer Crenshaw and W. T. Crenshaw; and her children, Jesse Brown, Jr. (Everlean), Ruby Mootry (Wilbur), Harold Brown (Jackie) and James E. Brown.
She is survived by: her spouse Jesse Brown, Sr.; her sisters, Reatha Johnson of St. Louis and Leatha Hale of Gary; and her children, Norma Jean Johnson of Lansing, Cinda Mathis of Southfield and Ella Louise Davis (John Henry) of Darien, Illinois.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
