It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Shappy Vaughan (Gilbert, Arizona), who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Shappy; her parents, Robert McGennis and Arlene McGennis; her siblings, Leslie McGennis and Mildred Joslin; her niece Christina Joslin; and her brothers-in-law, Rick Hall, Duane Daley and Manfred Kimball.
She is survived by: her former husband Harley Vaughan; her sisters, Linda Daley, Gloria Hall and Penny McGennis Desmore (Yvie Quintin); her daughters, Kellie Gonzalez and Antonia Martinez (Daniel Martinez); her grandchildren, Thomas Morales (Stephanie West), Teya Spring (Nick Cox) and Selina Sims (Kyle Sims); and her great grandchildren, Kelci (Logan), Serenity, Kaden, Carly, Jaemasen, Anthony, Giovanni and Lillian. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mission Church (4450 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234).
