It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Andrew Whalen of Gilbert, Arizona, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whalen and Dorothy Whalen; and his sisters, Karen Grant and Sharon Leith. He is survived by: his wife Gina Whalen; his children, Michael Andrew Whalen II (Nichole), Alexis Austin (Jerod Garner) and Jennifer Sorensen (Bill); his grandchildren, Zachary Auvil (Shelby), Zayne Lowe, Elsa, Emma Garner, Kaitlyn and Kolten Sorensen; and his sisters, Davena Ziemer (Mark), Debbie Klein (Joel) and Lori Heise. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
