He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Guzman and Hilaria Guzman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Duran; his daughters, Julie Guzman and Tracy Shaw (Dave); his grandchildren, Ashley Shaw, Fernando Duran, Enrique Shaw, Johannah Shaw, Harley Guzman and Ty Shaw; and his great grandchild Katherine Shaw. He is also survived by eight siblings.
