We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 83, Irene Leon Mendez (Glendale, Arizona) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her children, Genaro Mendez Jr., Carlos Daniel Mendez, Sophia Mendez-Torres and Stacey Miranda; her granddaughter Angelita Mendez; and her great grandchild Judah Fernandez.

She is survived by : her husband Genaro B. Mendez; and her friend Irene Mendez. She is also survived by six children eighteen grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary (7924 N 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the West Resthaven Cemetery (6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301). A reception was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Glendale Woman's Clubhouse (7032 N 56th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301).
