He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Brown and Agnes Brown; the mother of his children June Audrey Brown; his sister Doreen; his stepchildren, David and Bonnie; and his stepgranddaughter Rachel.
He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his children, Rose Marie, John III and Douglas; his nephew David; and his niece Diane. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in John's name be made to Hospice of the Valley Thunderbird Home; 13614 N. 59th Avenue Glendale, Arizona 85304.
