She was predeceased by: her parents, Santos Araiza and Francisca Reynaga. She is survived by: her spouse Apolonio M. Leal; her children, Victor Manuel Leal, Ana Lilia Leal, Jose "Joe" Leal, Dora L. Leal and Hector Leal; and her siblings, Socorro Guiterrez, Juan Araiza, Genoveva Parra, Salomon Araiza, Elena Guiterrez and Alma Rosa Araiza. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
