He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schain and Karen Schain (Blood); and his sister Wendy Schain-Collins. He is survived by: his children, Darrin Schain, Dillon Schain, Dalton Schain and Delany Schain; and his siblings, Randy Schain, Allen Schain and Sally Araujo.
