It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa Acuña Ochoa (Glendale, Arizona), born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on April 19, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Theresa graduated from Carl Hayden High School in 1975 and later became a medical assistant from the onset. She later transitioned into various positions for doctors, several valley hospitals, and health plans over the past 35 years. She married Gilbert Ochoa, also a Carl Hayden classmate and shared their lives for the past 35 years. Their union produced a son, Steven (31) and a daughter, Diana (33) .Motherhood was her life’s dream and with the arrival of her grandchildren Lincoln McNamara (5) and Noelle (2) she was generously blessed and they filled her life and heart. Her sense of humor, friendliness and compassion set her apart and will be missed. Always there with an ear to hear and a shoulder to lean on, she was always there for those in need for a friend. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Ida Acuña. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Acuña, and her spouse and children and grandchildren.
