“60 head of cattle, in order to "lure" ....... Big Red, a huge, bull. Augie was going to ride him out of the new chute we had just finished. We got back, but that bull wasn't willing to play and ended up jumping the six foot arena fence after he got corned. Amazing. We had a great family barbeque and then some and many more memories. I miss Augie and his dad Conie....I was hoping to reunite when I read about the recent loss. My deepest condolences to all of the family, would like to stop by the r”

“My brother (Ron Connelly) and I (Jerry Bourn), were corral builders back in the late 70's. We were building an extension to the Gila County Cattle Growers Assn. when we met Conie and Augie. We agreed to build a "bull chute" addition to the arena at the family ranch. What a great family the Rivera's are to the community, an Arizona asset/legacy. It was one of the most memorable parts of my life....Augie took us on a Roundup and we rode out, up into the hills and brought back about 60 head in orde”
