He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Fodera, Sr. and Cande Berumen-Fodera; his wife Patsy Ruth Aneas; his son Joedy; and his siblings, Joe and Evelyn.

He is survived by : his daughters, Valorie Ashby (Jimmy), Vickie Teague (Leo) and Vonda Dalton (Rex). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
