“Mr. Howe, I want to extend my sincere sympathy to you and your family for your loss. I had the pleasure of being a student of Mrs. Howe's at Anderson High School and when she sponsored of the Mayor's City Youth Commission and the AHS student council. During my senior year she and Mr. Macy had one of the art teachers make a watercolor of me in the Oval Office. I still have that picture today and cherish it. Her memory lives on through all of the students she had an impact on. God Bless her.”
