With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sara Elizabeth Benisch of Green Valley, Arizona, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2025 at the age of 84. As we bid Sara Elizabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sara Elizabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive Baucom and Frank Baucom; and her sister Marjorie Spoerri. She is survived by: her husband Michael; her daughters, Rebecca Benisch and Deborah Haraway; her siblings, Frank Baucom (Kathy) and Frances Olsen; her sister-in-law Robyn Emmerson (David); and her grandsons, Joshua and Ethan Haraway.
