He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Ibarra Avelar and Guadalupe Carlos Avelar; and his siblings, Lupe, Raoul, Estaban, Pedro, Hector, Socorro, Jovita, Anna and Alice (Licha).
He is survived by: his children, Jay Gilbert, Roger, Peter, Mitch, Matthew and Tina Marie; his grandchildren, Jason, Paul, Chris, Alina, Averi, Jay and Lupe; and his wife Blanca Miriam Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Prague Catholic Church (501 Victoria Cir, Kearny, AZ 85137). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Kearny Memorial Cemetery (170 Hartford Rd, Kearny, AZ 85137).
