He was predeceased by: his parents, Lustrus Harvey and Anna Harvey (Strong); his sister Wanita White; his brother-in-law Frank Sharp; and his nephew Paul Harvey.

He is survived by: his wife Dianna Gallagher; his sons, David Harvey of Fortville and John Harvey of Round Rock, Texas; and his siblings, Carolyn Doty (Wayne) of Pershing, Indiana, Ron Harvey (Muriel) of Kingman, Arizona and Larry Harvey (Betty) of Warner Robins, Georgia.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
