James Metcalfe Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Metcalfe of Kingman, Arizona, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Metcalfe and Ella Metcalfe; his sisters, Helen Barden (Lance), Lola Vanorny (Jay) and Patti Woods (Jack); his brothers-in-law, Chuck Leonard, Stanley Casavant, Duaine Coleman, Jack Woods and Jay Vanorny; his son-in-law Jim Evans; and his nephew Andy Metcalfe.
He is survived by: his former wives, Mae Fosness and Marjorie LaFrance; his close friends, Wayne and Ana Preston; his wife Yolanda McDaniel; his siblings, Gary Metcalfe (Sue) of Branson, Missouri, Geri Monroe (Chuck) of Fargo, ND and Margaret Casavant of Rolette, ND; and his daughters, Cheryl Evans of Dunseith, ND, Rosann Gottbreht (George) of Dunseith, ND and Jennifer Metcalfe of Renton, WA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Little Prairie Cemetery.
