He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Kirby and Elizabeth Kirby; his parents-in-law, Julian and Maria Toscano; and his brothers, Bernard and Matthew Kirby.
He is survived by: his wife Alma; his children, William (Rebecca), James (Gina) and Colleen Kirby; his grandchildren, Ethan (Chelsey), Giana, Andrew, Lillia, Jozlyn, Taylor, Charlotte, Audrey, Briana of Megan, CJ and Declan; his siblings, Loretta Spencer (Russ), Elizabeth Kelley (late Roger), Eugene (Theresa) and Agnes Kirby; and his sister-in-law Christine Greco (Dominic).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Gibbons Family Funeral Home (5917 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634). A prayer was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church (5900 W Barry Ave, Chicago, IL 60634).
