With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bette Lyn Payne Peterson of Mesa, Arizona, who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Bette Lyn Payne farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bette Lyn Payne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ezrel Junius Payne and Helen Dixon Payne; and her sister Barbara Ipsen. She is survived by : her husband Robert Warren Peterson (Bob); and her children, Kristi Peterson, Lisa Allen (Rick), Brian Peterson (Sharla) and David Peterson (Sharon). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunker's Garden Chapel (33 N Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the LDS Chapel (2549 N 32nd St, Mesa, AZ 85213).
