With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmen Acosta (Mesa, Arizona), born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on September 20, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Zuñiga and Carmen R. Zuñiga; her spouse Patricio; her son Patricio Z. Acosta; her son-in-law Arturo Z. Serrano; and her sister Delores Lopez.

She is survived by: her siblings, Victoria Miranda, Alice Schwartz, Mary Z. Roybal and Frank Zuñiga; her children, Teresita L. Serrano, Susan Ann Kintis (Bill) and Edward T. Acosta; her grandchildren, Arturo F. Serrano, Francesca Stevens (Vernon) and Carmela Kintis; and her great grandchildren, Nikolas, Alfred and Ellyanna Stevens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Banner Hospice in Mesa, AZ or American Cancer Society.
