We are sad to announce that, on April 1, 2026, at the age of 96, Christine Duncan Barnes (Mesa, Arizona), born in Obion, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Christine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Christine. Though Christine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Barnes; and her children, Deborah Rushing and Daniel Barnes. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Lyons, Lori Campbell (Steve Campbell) and Kristi Stihel (Greg Stihel); and her grandchildren, Violet Gonzagowski (Austin Gonzagowski), Claudia Campbell, Hannah Benevento (Pat Benevento), Cameron Stihel (Alejandra Stihel) and Sara Barnes. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family has requested that donations be made to Meals on Wheels.
