Coleen Duncan Scott, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and source of unconditional love to countless people, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 7, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born on December 26, 1943, to Marvin Joe Duncan and Clattie Bell Duncan, Coleen lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, faith, compassion, loving God, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She never met a stranger, and her home was always open to anyone in need. Whether it was a meal from her pantry, a place to stay, clothes, household items, or simply a listening ear and a loving heart, Coleen gave freely and never expected anything in return.
Her greatest gift was her ability to love. She loved deeply, openly, and without judgment. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Throughout her life, she touched countless hearts and changed more lives than she could ever know.
Coleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Carleen René Summers, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Scottie" Wayne Scott; her children, Scott Manley, Joe Spence, Anthony Spence, and Jeffrey Spencepatrick; her adopted daughters, Susan Stott and Regina Baier; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.
To her family, Coleen was an amazing mother, a trusted confidante, and a constant source of encouragement and strength. To others, she was often the person who stepped in when no one else would. Her generosity knew no limits, and her compassion left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
While her family mourns the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Her kindness, wisdom, laughter, and selfless spirit will never be forgotten.
The world is a better place because Coleen was in it. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
