With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darron E. J. Gillespie of Mesa, Arizona, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2025 at the age of 55. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Darron leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Goldie and Lilly; his parents, Weston Gillespie and Debbie Gillespie; his siblings, Weston (Patricia Gillespie) and Krista Gillespie (Edward Sayles); and his mother-in-law Femy Urmatam.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bunker University Chapel (3529 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213). Viewing was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mesa Cemetery (1212 N Center St, Mesa, AZ 85201).
