He was predeceased by: his parents, David Grant Allen, Sr. and Norene Watkins (Watkins); his daughter Judi Lynn Allen; and his sister Joyce Norene DeYoung. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jane Allen; his children, Shirley Rae Penrod (Robert), Shelly Kay Allen, Clayton David Allen (Christina), Leslie Diane Kelley (Kenneth) and Daryl Warren Allen (Amy); and his sister Rebecca Ohlau (Rogers). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lehi Ward Building (830 E Lehi Rd, Mesa, AZ 85203). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to honor Dave's memory by serving others, working hard, keeping their word, and taking good care of their families — things he spent his life teaching by example.
