“Hello, My name is Jim Porter, I knew David at the U of ND 1957 to 1959 We went to parties and had fun together. In 1960 or 61 Dave sold me his Stinson 108 airplane at a very low price because he needed the money to buy a D model Bonanza. David was a smart, kind, generous and fun loving young man and I learned a lot from him. I'm sure he will be missed. Funny, I have not seen or spoken to Dave since 1962 and I decided today to call him and thank him for his friendship so long ago.”
