He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd McCloskey and Velma McCloskey (Henschen); his sons, Terry L McCloskey and Dean McCloskey; his brother Calvin McCloskey; and his nephew Rick McCloskey.

He is survived by: his wife Lila Genetzky; his family, Terry W. and Dean; his daughter Donna Desjardins (Chad); his grandchildren, Zachery McCloskey, Sarah McCloskey, Dawson Desjardins and Madelyn Desjardins; his great grandchild Grayson McCloskey; and his nephew Phil Padgett.
