He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Silverthorn and Eva Silverthorn (Brady); and his siblings, Dale (Francis), Dean (Georgia) and Cleo Bell Silverthorn.
He is survived by: his wife Afada Silverthorn (McKee); and his children, Dusty Silverthorn, Jonathan, Delaine Statham (Ron) and Susan Watts (Dana). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Moon Cemetery.
