She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Evans Nelson and Thora Jane Mickelson Nelson; her husband Walt; and her son Michael McIver. She is survived by: her siblings, Phyllis Barber, Stephen Nelson (Linda) and Kathy Gold (Brent); her grandson David McIver (Patty); and her children, Gregory McIver, Nicole, James, Cara, Anna, Josh, Julie Storey, Kristin, Megan, Brandon, Jason, Lisa Jones, Trevor, Kayla, Alyssa, Laurie Ahlers (Robert), Alison McIver (Joe) and Matt McIver.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Bunker Garden Chapel (33 N Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
